Wolaita Sodo is located along the edge of the Great Rift Valley, in south Ethiopia. The City is the political and administrative centre of the Wolaita Zone and South Ethiopia Regional State. The city is also known as The City of Seven Gates, a nod to its seven major gated roads that connect it to various zones and regional states, symbolising its strategic position and accessibility.
