Overview
Located in the Dakar region, the city of Pikine is the administrative centre of the department of Pikine and is divided into 3 sub-divisions and 16 municipalities. It is located in the western part of the country on the Cape Verde peninsula. The city is bordered to the south by the Atlantic Ocean, to the north by the cities of Keur Massar and Guédiawaye, to the east by the city of Rufisque and to the west by the city of Dakar.
